A doctor by the name of Charles Browne Fleet invented lip balm, but he couldn't make it sell. He sold the recipe to a guy named John Morton. It was Morton and his wife who stated producing the familiar pink stuff. The Chapstick name and recipe was bought out by the current company, Wyethe Laboratories, in the 60's. The company is currently located in Lynchburg, Virginia.

∙ 14y agoLip gloss was invented by Max Factor in 1930. His reason for this was to make lips glossy or shiny for films. Max Factor inventions include lipstick and the mascara wand. All of these inventions became common items in purses throughout the world as makeup became a mass market phenomenon.
sorces say tht max factor did invent lip gloss but it is unknown.

Can lip balm specifically burts bees be addictive?
