Apostle H.D. Traylor is the Chief Apostle and founder of the Worldwide Apostolic Church Inc, and the pastor of Bethel WAC. He is also the president of Bethel Bible Institute. Prior to his current position he was the Overseer of districts 7, 17 and 19 of the Apostolic Church of Promise which comprises Florida Mississippi and Louisiana as well as one church in Mobile Alabama. Additionally Apostle Traylor is a civic leader in that he is a member of the board for the Childersburg Chamber of Commerce and manages the committee to elect the first black mayor of his hometown. He is also the chairman of the board of regents for D.O.M. School of Ministry. Although raised in Childersburg, Alabama, he, his wife Cathy and their four children, have lived in many parts of the US and abroad as he also served honorably in the US Army for twenty seven years where he received numerous awards and commendations. Traylor has recently been honored with the leadership Childersburg award which is awarded for leadership excellence. Apostle Traylor is currently researching material for a book he plans to write and release this year.

Apostle H.D. Traylor is the founder of Worldwide Apostolic Church and pastor of Bethel Worldwide Apostolic Church in Childersburg, Alabama which serves many members. With more than 28 years in ministry, Dr. Traylor is committed to bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to people all over the world, impacting the world.

A former soldier for over 27 years with extensive travels to places such as Panama, Iraq, Cyprus,Kuwait, and other places. Dr. Traylor received the vision for Worldwide Apostolic Church in 2002. He held the church's first worship service in a Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama in 2003, with only eight people in attendance. Over the years the ministry has grown and continues to grow. The congregation moved from the hotel to a modest-sized classroom at a community center in Childersburg, Alabama. The move was needed because Apostle Traylor was being called away to the second Gulf war. For a period of one year Bethel was pastored by Elder Cathy Traylor while the Apostle was away. In October of 2005, Bethel moved into its present location, at 435 Ferry road, Childersburg, Alabama.

A native of Childersburg, Alabama, Apostle Traylor has traveled throughout the United States and various foreign countries and has established churches in various places such as Tacoma Washington, Leesville, Louisiana, Orlenbach, Germany, and Nuremberg, Germany. Apostle Traylor has also pastored in places such as: Pensacola, FL, Bogalusa, LA, and Chicago IL. Apostle Traylor's Education includes a bachelor's degree in Theology, a master's degree in Theology, and a doctorate in Religion. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1992. He is the Chairman of the board of regents for D.O.M. Ministry School and, the President Bethel Bible Institute. He served as vice president of publishing for the Mouthpiece, a quarterly publication that reached thousands of people throughout the world. He served on the executive board of several international ministries.

A much sought-after conference speaker and author, Apostle Traylor is known for his practical but indebt approach to The Bible and has encouraged thousands to pursue a personal relationship with God. Apostle Traylor and his wife, Cathy, of 28 years, have four children and live in Childersburg, Alabama.
