Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore's younger sister.
She had suffered a vicious attack when she was six years old by three young male muggles who had witnessed her doing magic. When she couldn't fulfill their request to repeat what she had done, they tried to stop her from being "different". Ariana was left unable to be socially interactive and couldn't properly perform magic again due to the traumatizing event. Her mother Kendra made the family move to Godric's Hollow so that Ariana wouldn't be institutionalized in St. Mungo's Hospital or hurt someone accidentally, but the tragic irony here is that she had accidentally killed her mother when she had an uncontrollable outburst of magic.
She is accidentally killed by either her brothers or Gellert Grindelwald when the trio had a fight over their plans to move to carry on their plans of wizards ruling over muggles. As a result of this, Albus' boggart takes the form of Ariana's corpse.
It isn't quite clear. It could have been either: Albus Dumbledore, Aberfoth Dumbledore or Gellert Grindlewald. There was to many curses flying to know for sure who sent the one that killed her.
Aberforth Dumbeldore revealed that when a three-way duel broke out between himself, Gellert Grindelwald and Albus. Ariana, aged about 14 at the time, tried to stop it, and was inadvertently killed; it was never known which of the three wizards was directly responsible for her death.
Ariana was born in 1885 and died in 1899. She was fourteen when she died.
The one who will be playing Ariana Dumbledore is Hebe Beardsall.
Either Grindlewald or Albus or Aberfoth Dumbledore killed her. None of them know exactly which curse hit her or who cast it.
Ariana is Albus Dumbledore's lost younger sister.
I don't think there is an "Ariana Grande" in Harry Potter. There is an "Ariana Dumbledore", in other words, Albus Dumbledore's sister, who died at a fairly young age.
