Born and raised in Abilene, Texas; married in 1985.
Attended High School in San Antonio, Texas.
His college days took him from Dallas to San Antonio to San Marcos ending at Texas State University.
Began his political career started early when as a young adolescent, with his late Father as his mentor, staking out yard signs for political campaigns in early 1970's. However, he recalls sitting at voting polls alongside his Father in 1960's, too.
His own involvement began as a precinct captain for various political campaigns and elected precinct chairman in the early 80's.
His big break came working for an organization with a state wide political outreach in the the mid-1980's and helped to elect several state wide and regional representatives.
He has since worked as a paid and/or volunteer consultant for many political campaigns including State Representative, State Senator, State Board of Education, US Senate and Presidential races.
His corporate career began as a book salesman for a small library book company out of Broomall, Pennsylvania and over the next 20 years continued to progress in the "education sales market" working for major software and textbook publishers.
Robert C. Flores ended his education sales market career, in 2008, after serving 11 years with Harcourt School Publishers as their Legislative Liaison.
