You must not be an American, otherwise you're not a good one. There was never a ruler of America, this is a Republic. There are the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Executive Branch. The first president wasn't a king, but rather a son of liberty. Throughout the USA's history, the president has had limited power in decisions.

The United States dose not have a single "ruler". The US had a system of democracy that makes sure no one man or woman has too much power. The highest ranking official of the US is the president who is currently (2011) President Barack Obama.

Goerge Washington was the fist elected president of the US and he was one of the main generals when our contry was fighting for freedom in 1771- I have no idea all I know is that he ws a geat man that has gone down in history and was one of the forefahers of this country.
