The oldest confirmed person alive on the planet today is a Japanese woman, Kama Chinen. Born on 10th of may, 1895, she is currently almost 115 years old.
Kama still has some way to go to better the oldest person ever recorded, Jeanne Calment, who died at the age of 122 years, 164 days.

Jiroemon Kimura, who was born on April 19, 1897, was the oldest documented man to have lived when he died at age 116 on June 16, 2013. The oldest documented person was a woman, Jeanne Calment of France, who lived to the age of 122 (1875-1997).
At any given time, there are also about 50 people in the world with unverified claims as to their age, and this can range from 110 to 127 or more.
*Biblically, Methuselah was 994 when he died. So Methuselah was the oldest man to live. But he is not now the oldest man living.
