Atticus Finch quoted this line in "To Kill a Mockingbird." He says it to his daughter, Scout, to teach her the importance of humility and not boasting about one's talents.

maybe you just don't have a talent and never will. same with me. not everyone has something special to them or a special skill that no one else has. there are 2 types of people in the world people like you and me who cannot find their talents and probably never will. and people who do have talents/skills and are the happiest people in the world. that's life DEAL WITH IT!
a mockingbird symbolizes an innocent, and nice person like Tom Robinson in the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. Tom Robinson never did anything wrong, yet he was accused for raping a white girl. just like a mockingbird who never did people any harm and was shot, Tom Robinson never did anything wrong but was eventually killed. It symbolizes people who are innocent that are ruined by evils. Such as Tom Robinson and Boo Radley.
Miss Maudie is teaching that because our talents come from God, no one in their right mind would claim credit for God's work.
the moral lesson beyond the council of God is to appreciate one's talents and never compare two people with the degree of their talents because they have their own uniqueness to offer. they have their own styles to captivate everyone's heart.
They have never remade To Kill A Mockingbird. There is only one version.
never

he was the mockingbird. Boo never did anything wrong except kill a man in order to protect his "children" Jem and Scout. If they would have told on Boo, it would have ruined him. Boo was the MOCKINGBIRD ! Remember the mocking bird never did anything wrong.
basically means that in hard times(adversity), you discover talents you never thought you had.
Boo is actually never referred to as a Mockingbird, it is more of an assumption of the reader than anything else. That is if I remember correctly.
