The revolutionaries held a two hour trial and sentenced him to death for crimes against the state, genocide, and "undermining the national economy."The Ceauşescus were executed by a firing squad lead by Captain Ionel Boeru and two other soldiers who shot them with AK-47 assault rifles. After the shooting had stopped, the bodies were covered with canvas.

∙ 12y agoNicolae paulescu was a romanian physiologist, professor of medicine, and a discoverer of insulin( which he termed pancreatine), but the Nobel prize for this invention was awarded to 2 canadians, because at the time they did not translate Paulescu's publication correct from french to English (instead of translating "I have obtained positive results", they have translated "I haven't positive results") therefore, he lost the Nobel prize for this invention, and only years later his study was reccognized, but nothing was done, about the Nobel Prize
