Plato was a Greek philosopher, considered to be one of the greatest minds to have ever existed. He is one of "The Big Three," or the three Fathers of Western Philosophy, alongside his teacher (Socrates) and student (Aristotle). They aided in the development of most philosophical concepts and theories found in Western society. He is attributed with recording the teachings of his mentor, Socrates, who never wrote down any of his philosophical ventures or concepts.
