Themis was the daughter of Gaea (Earth) and Ouranos (Heaven), a Titan, and second wife of Zeus after Metis, she was a goddess of oracles and divine Law and Order, her daughters by Zeus were the Horai (Seasons): Eunomia (Order), Dike (Justice), and Eirene (Peace); and Moirai (Fates): Klotho, Lakhesis, and Atropos - she may also have had other daughters, as well as Prometheus who is sometimes called her son.
