Some say Doug Williams for the Redskins, but it wasn't him. Lawrence McCutcheon of the L.A. Rams threw a touchdown pass in Super Bowl XIV against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Two years before McCutcheon, Cowboy running back Robert Newhouse became the first African-American to attempt a pass in a Super Bowl when he threw a 29-yard TD pass to Golden Richards against Denver with just under 8 minutes remaining in Super Bowl XII (the first Super Bowl played in a dome).
