Some people believe that it was a woman called Lillith, supposed to be the first woman in The Bible. she appeared before Eve but left Eden as she refused to submit to Adam.

Pre-feminist movements there are many of women who were writers, philosophers and scientists, Marie Cure, Mary Wolstencraft and the Bronte sisters to name a few.

If you are asking who set the feminist movement rolling, it was Emmeline Pankhurst.

Abigail Adams! In her letter to her husband (2nd president John Adams) in 1776 she writes "And, by the way, in the new code of laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make, I desire you would remember the ladies and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands. Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could." She wanted to spare women from domesticity decades before many famous feminists, such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

Good luck!

Ellen D. who is the host of her own day time talk show in present day. Unknown to many she is actually a vampire, which explains her long life and short hair. Being a feminist was only second priority in that century however. Her number one priority was hunting down her enemy, Oprah W. Oprah just happened to be a werewolf. The two creatures continue to feud to this day.
