Gerard Duddy a Scaffolder who toiled through hail ,ghostly high winds and rain to erect a large scaffold up and over the walls on the sound of mull from sea level up the cliffedge and over the walls ,heheh with a sly hipflask of whisky to keep him well charged and able .he was a typical gorbals diehard. mission accomplished ,lady maclean then noted this achievement in the history book of the famous castle,for all to see ,forever.with pride I write this ,as he was my father whose now in heaven havin a wee glass or two with our lady maclean .
