All his desire for life was to gain everything the easy way so he killed Ellie by putting a cyanide in her tablets then he killed the old Lady Mrs Lee as he had used her to threaten and scare Ellie so if the police finds out she might say him and lastly he killed his real lover Greta too. His the real killer ,well kinda the protagonist as well as the antagonist .
