The Epistles of Paul would be older than the four gospels, although scholars do not believe that all the epistles attributed to Paul were actually written by him or even in his lifetime. The earliest of Paul's epistles could be 1 Thessalonians, which is possibly the oldest book in the New Testament.
Perhaps even older than the Pauline epistles is the Epistle to the Hebrews. Some scholars believe that Hebrews could be the oldest book in the New Testament, because they say that the view of Christianity in Hebrews is more primitive than in other books of the New Testament.
Another answer from our community:
I believe the oldest gospel in the New Testament is the Gospel of Mark, which according to the information I found on the web, can be dated to around 70 CE, or 35-40 years after the time most people believe Jesus died.
Others consider the evidence that Matthew wrote a Gospel first in Aramaic. This Gospel, thought now lost, would have been the first, and then translated into the Greek version we now have.
Scholars disagree, but the consensus is that the Gospel of Mark may have been written first, just before the Gospel of Matthew. Others, especially Christian theologians, reverse the order; which is why Matthew appears first in The Bible itself.
In any case, the first five books of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts) are believed to have all been written during the second half of the first century, between years 50-100 A.D. It's also generally accepted that Luke and Acts were written by the same person, making Acts one of the world's oldest direct sequels.
There is no definitive answer to this Question, as some scholars disagree on the estimated dates for some of the New Testament books. The Epistles of Paul would be older than the four gospels, although scholars do not believe that all the epistles attributed to Paul were actually written by him or even in his lifetime. Possibly even older than the Pauline epistles is Epistle to the Hebrews . Some scholars believe that Hebrews could be the oldest book in the New Testament, because they say that the view of Christianity in Hebrews is more primitive than in other books of the New Testament. Other books appear to have been written in layers, with the earliest layers pre-dating Christianity. Thus, Revelations may contain material that could be as late as second century CE, combined with some pre-Christian material. Some scholars say that James was written in 3 stratas and by various authors, with the first strata coming from a Jewish, pre-Christian sect.
Mark's Gospel is the oldest, as scholars have demonstrated that it was the principal source of material on the life and mission of Jesus, used by the authors of both Matthew and Luke. John's Gospel was loosely based on Luke, and so is the newest New Testament gospel.
Matthew was written after Mark, but some time before Luke.
The oldest person in the New Testament was Simeon. He had been told by the holy spirit that he would not die until he saw Jesus.
The sermon on the mount.

No. The Book of Acts is in the New Testament.
In the new testament. The old testament is about the time before Jesus. The new testament is Jesus's time and onward containing the work of his disciples.
The value of the Old Testament is to allow us to understand the New Testament. The Old Testament points to the New Testament and shows us why we need a savior.
In the Old Testament a Messiah was promised by God to come into the world. In the New Testament the Messiah arrives, that Messiah is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This is what basically links the Old Testament to the New Testament.
the god in old testament the same as in the new testament.
No one is certain, but Hebrews is likely the oldest book in the New Testament. Next would probably come the genuine epistles of Paul. Thus, 1 Thessalonians could be the second oldest book in the New Testament.
A:The oldest complete copy of the New Testament is in the Codex Sinaiticus, from the fourth century. A codex is the modern form of bound volume. The John Rylands manuscript fragment, catalogued as P52, is currently the oldest surviving fragment from a New Testament and is dated to around 125 CE. It consists of two very small patches of papyrus.

God.
Probably not if he appeared in the Old Testament and the New Testament he would be very old.
Some say that the Epistle to the Hebrews is the oldest book in the New Testament. We do not know who the author was, although it was at one stage erroneously attributed to St. Paul. The author spoke of Jesus as a High Priest in heaven, and does not seem to have known anything of the life of Jesus on earth.
Some of the stores of the Old Testament date to about 5,000 years before the occurrences of the New Testament. Others are more recent, but still hundreds of years before the events of the New Testament. The Bible Christians use today was assembled about 300 AD. This would make the answer to the question about 5,300 years between the oldest parts of the old Testament and assembly of the New Testament with the Old Testament to make the Christian bible.
Adam was 930 years old methuselah was 969 years old

Nope. The Septuigent (The first five books of the Hebrew Bible) are the oldest Bible manuscripts. "Let him without sin..." is from the New Testament and was written more recently than the Old Testament Books.
