Charles Grey, a Whig who was in office from 22nd November 1830 until 9th July 1834.

His Government introduced the Reform Act of 1832 and also abolished slavery throughout the British Empire, as well as introducing laws that restricted the employment of children. He was an Earl, and Earl Grey tea is named after him as it was his favourite beverage.

He was replaced on 16th July by William Lamb, 1st Viscount Melbourne, and died in 1845 at the age of 81.

Herbert Henry Asquith.

Note from a pedant

There has never been a Prime Minister of England.

H. H. Asquith was Prime Minister of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

England is a part of, but not the same as, The United Kingdom.
