It is in the book of Genesis in the Bible. It tells how they were the first two people on Earth and placed into the Garden of Eden. Then an evil serpent comes along and tricks them into breaking the one rule God had placed onto them- eating the apples from the Tree of Knowledge. God had to punish them for disobeying him and banished them out into the ruins after they both had realized the shame of being naked. Two angels with flaming swords were sent there to make sure nobody could ever go back in.

That story is supposed to be the quintessence of the Bible's foundation. Adam and Eve lived in a perfect world without any troubles. Later on, the devil in the form of a serpent came out of the apple tree where they were not allowed to eat from. The devil tempted Eve to eat the apple and then pushed Adam to eat the apple. God punished both of them by making Adam work and suffer- while Eve and all women have painful child births.
