No direct evidence supports this idea. Grant was a notoriously private person, and his hints about his mother's ethnic background are sparse and contradictory.

It's one of these, "How do you prove something ISN'T true?" questions. There is little evidence that his mother was Jewish, but there is no way to prove she wasn't.
