All the angry peasats who wanted higher wages, lower taxes and an end to work service. There were around 100,000 (bigger than the World cup final) and their leader was called Wat Tyler, who was killed at Smithfield. Another important guy was the priest John Ball, who preached to the peasants that revolting was a good idea. After the revolt, he was hung, drawn and quartered - the quarters were sent to four different places and put on display. Hope this helps!

The person or organization the peasants revolted against depended on the times and place.

Sometimes the peasants revolted against heavy taxes, sometimes they revolted against various impositions, particularly if they were unaccustomed to them. They were always upset about Peter's Pence, because it was they king's fault that the pope was mad at him, not theirs. Sometimes they were upset for reasons of church doctrine, and were upset at the Church. To be specific, we would have to know which revolt is in question.

because of the black death, workforce was low so the surviving peasants had to work harder than before for less pay. They also had to pay a new poll tax to help fund king Richards war against France . the peasants wanted this to be abolished .
