Several possibilities: he was the first Roman Catholic President; he was notoriously unfaithful to his wife; he increased US presence in South Vietnam; he decided to go ahead …with the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba (the plan started under his successor, Dwight Eisenhower); he was assassinated (the fourth such President and the first since 1901).
I find your question very interesting due to I can relate to some of his quotes. Some of my favorite ones are: "A child miseducated is a child lost". JFK "Change is …the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future". JFK "The human mind is our fundamental resource". being Irish catholic
Probably his most famous quote is, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". This was given at his inaugural address in January of 1961….
WelL u could say he was famous for being so much like Abe Lincoln. Look up out them it's kinda interesting.:)
"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
"Ask not what your county can do for you but what you can do for your country" and sadly being assassinated
There are several reasons. He came from a wealthy Boston family that was prominent in society. He was a Senator, a president, a WW2 war hero ( he saved a man when his PT boat …was sunk and wrote a book called PT 109), and he was a young vibrant president with a lovely wife and two children when he was shot by Oswald. The day that it happened it seemed like the whole world died. The world did change that day in Nov. and hasn't been the same since.
Well he had several but his most famous would probably be, "Ask not what your country can do for you -- ask what you can do for your country."
He was baptized as a Catholic, raised as a Catholic, and lived hisentire life until he died as a Catholic.
American Protestants were concerned that Kennedy might take direction from the Pope.
