One reason why Scottish Terriers are so beloved by their owners is because they are so cute. They are also loving and enjoy spending time with their family.
So cute
Scottish Terrier Cairn Terriers are just different coloured versions of Westies, Westies were singularly bred from Cairns for their colour so that they could be seen easily on the moors, and you can get very near black Cairns.
Many consider Yorkshire terriers to be lap dogs, so I would guess being close to their owners.
Terriers of all colours - black, brown, cream, white and brindled - were used to hunt in packs for rabbits and vermin in the Scottish Highlands. The breeds have gradually evolved to become what we know today as Scottish Terriers (black), Cairn terriers (grey, brown, cream, brindled) and West Highland White Terriers (white). Legend has it that one Scottish landowner, in the late 1800's, had a pack of terriers, and accidentally shot one of his darker coloured dogs, thinking it to be a fox. He was so devastated by the loss of his fine dog that he vowed to have all his dogs white from then on, so that he could see them easily in the fields. So he began breeding white dogs, which became known as the West Highland White terriers.
Scottish terriers come in 3 colors, BROWN,WHITE,BLACK. Its very rarely that they come in brown. Usually the white terrier are west highland terriers are white, but the Scotties can sometimes be white. And they have pointy ears to help them hear stuff really good. They run rally fast going after deer or dogs. They love stinky stuff. TRUST ME I HAVE ONE. And its really cute a black Scottish terrier.
The best is called Neutra Ultra. It's best for mine because he gets earinfections from other kinds
On the one hand Staffies are very good dogs with people, and especially children, and on the whole they are not aggressive towards people, which would make them good for inexperienced dog owners. But they can be stubborn and they do need discipline from the beginning and a lot of attention and training, so in that regards they may not be the best dog for inexperienced dog owners. Except if the owners take them to training from puppyhood.
I suppose so. Border Terriers were originally bred as fox and vermin hunters
Terriers were bred to dig out and catch vermin and to do that successfully they have to be stubborn and not give up easily, so that's why they're still stubborn today, they were bred that way.
French for Scottish. So probably music for a scottish dance or equivalent.
It depends on your Scottish Terrier. Mine has fun with Yorkshire Terriers, Jack Russel Terriers, and Kerin Terriers. My friend's Sottie is very shy and doesn't enjoy being around other dogs. Sometimes. . . they bark a lot at other dogs.
I don't think so because mine doesn't
