Do the lipids contain more energy than polysaccharides?
yes they do in fats 1gram=37.8 kjoules of energy. in carbohydrates polysaccharides are a type of carbohydrates. were 1gram= 16.80 kjoules of energy. their is less energy in ca…rbohydrates because they give you quick energy during short strenuous activities. but fat take longer to work off because your body burns the carbs first then the fat so to burn fat you need to do long excises such as cardio it is the best workout to do. Does monosaccharide disaccharide or polysaccharide store more energy?
A polysacharide stores more energy. Automatically you can throw out a disaccharide as having more, because it is in the middle, therefore it cannot have more or less energy. A… polysaccharide has more energy, because it contains three or more sugars, this means more energy. Imagine subject 1 consuming/insuming an energy drink, an orange, and sugar cubes at one time, and then imagine subject 2 having one orange. Who do you think would have more energy? Well obviously subject 1 before he/she crashes. A polysaccharide is simply many different types of sugars put into one compound. (MORE)

What is the difference between a monosaccharide a disaccharide and a polysaccharide?
All three are kinds of carbohydrates. Monosaccharides are fairly simple sugars, having only one unit. Disaccharides are only slightly more complex, having two units hooked… together. A polysaccharide is the most complex, consisting of large numbers of sugars in specific formations. (MORE)

What is the difference between a monosaccharide and polysaccharide?
A monosaccharide is made of a single carbohydrate molecule i.e. simple aldehyde or ketone molecules. Monosaccharides are called so because these simple sugars can't be further… hydrolyzed but a polysaccharide is composed of many monosaccharides i.e. polysaccharide is polymer of 2 or more monosaccharide and are broken down into these simpler components through hydrolysis. Monosaccharides are sweet in taste but polysaccharides are tasteless. Monosaccharides have general formula Cn(H2O)n while polysaccharides have (C6H10O5)n. (MORE)
