Some reasons are that people are destroying there habitats i know they swim but they have to lay eggs were they were hatched. Plus if you discard plastic into the ocean turtles think they are jellyfish and eat it and they get caught in discarded fishing line. Street lights hotels on beaches traffic they all cause this especially when sea turtles help the enviroment. Plus if you walk on the beach at night and turtles are hatching you can step on them even if you don't know it!!!
there habitats are destroyed, they mistake are garbage for food and then they die, they get caught up in nets and they are hunted by humans for selling!
