∙ 14y agoTheir weapons did no damage to Grendel. Either this was because Grendel's hide was too thick; and none of the men had the strength to penetrate it; or Grendel, being a troll, had magical protection that made normal (non-magical) weapons useless against him.

∙ 14y agoWhen Beowulf was Wrestling Grendel, the other warriors tried to rush in and help. Unfortunatly, when trying to pierce Grendel's body with their swords, they shattered.
