You may have water somewhere in the bottom of your trunk. If not, it could well be the sound of your gasoline sloshing around in the tank - older GM cars were notorious for this sloshing sound.
I have seen the doors with inches of water inside because the drains were plugged up. You could hear the water sloshing back and forth while driving.
Water may be getting stuck in the convertible track.
Shut down the outside unit and check for anything loose if it's a rattling noise. If you think the compressor is making noise get a tech. The water sloshing around sounds like a separate problem check the drain on the inside unit to see if it's clogged.

There are drain holes in the rocker ( I think that is what they are called ) panel beneath the door. Two on each side....these get clogged with debris (like leaves and dirt ) and normally water would just drain away. To fix this you just need to unclog the holes and the water will gush out. I used a cheap pumpkin cutter but anything would work to open this hole up. I used to get wet floors in the car and could hear the water sloshing around. Hope that this helps Mark
An Alien has implanted a modular, tracking device in your stomach!
