As with any job you apply for you should be able to fluently speak the language of the area where the job/position is located. Reading that same language is a plus also. At McDonald's you are required to learn ALL positions in their restaurant area, from counter person to drive through to dining room to grill to after hours cleanup and maintenance.

Most regions of the USA and other countries too have laws prohibiting under age individuals from being hired. Most areas that age limit is 16.

I have personally known of one individual being hired and employed at McDonald's for many years who could not read or write. That individual was employed as dining room clean up and was also responsible for cleaning bathrooms.

If you are both physically and mentally able to do the work and willing to do the work they will train you.

As with any job where you face the public, personal appearance, personal hygiene and manors are of great importance.
