Aquila did not 'drop dead', atleast during the time period The Bible covers. He and his wife Priscilla (Prisca) were friends of Paul, and faithful Christian ministers for many years (Acts 18:1+2,18,26)(Romans 16:3+4)(1 Corinthians 16:19)(2 Timothy 4:19). You may be referring to Ananias and Saphira, husband and wife, at Acts 5:1-11. They both died instantly because they 'played false to the holy spirit', basically lying in an attempt to make themselves look good in front of others.
