So to prevent it, he ate five of his children when Rhea was still pregnant with the last child Zeus. So she Feed him a stone instead of the baby and she sent Zeus off to be raised my a magical family.

∙ 14y agoCronos was told by a prophet (I believe, it may have been the oracle) that one of his sons would one day overthrow him, as Cronos did his father. In order to prevent this, Cronos swallowed all of his children whole as soon as they were born. His wife, Rhea, with their last child, Zeus, gave Cronos a rock wrapped in a blanket to swallow instead of the child. Zeus returned after being hidden for many years, poisoned his father (making Cronos very sick) and rescued his brothers and sisters. Together, the children of Cronos overthrew him, and ruled over Olympus.
