∙ 14y agoUnder the reign of Edward VI the churches changed. He changed the interior of the church from stone to wood, removed all crosses, replaced stain glass to plain glass, changed robes and replaced statues with the coat of arms. He did this because he felt the churches needed to simpler unlike the Catholic churches.

∙ 11y agothat he didn't want the church to be posh or fancy and his dad was a catholic and he was a Protestant. Edward took down all the paintings and statues and replaced them with prayers he made the bible English and had issued a new pray book. The priests could marry and they didn't wear posh garments. The stone alters were replaced with stone ones and the stain glassed windows were smashed out and replaced with normal windows

∙ 12y agoThe first thing he did was change the prayers books into English, the he abolished the Catholic Mass and was replaced with the Holy Communion, he turned Church interiors plain and simple, he told priests to wear plain clothing, he said priests couldn't get married, he said you couldn't buy your way to heaven and finally traditions were banned such as Christmas.

∙ 13y agoHe made the church protestant, plain and simple, no fancy paintings or statues. The Bible was rewritten in English and the church services were taken in English opposed to Latin(catholic).

∙ 13y agoEdward VI did not do that much, but he had Protestant advisors who advised him differently meaning he pleased the then minority of Protestants and displeased the Catholic majority.
