The agricultural revolution contributed to a rapid growth of population that continues today. Precise population statistics for the 1700s are rare, but those that do exist are striking. Britain's population, for example, soared from about 5 million in 1700 to almost 9 million in 1800. The population of Europe as a whole shot up from roughly 120 million to about 190 million during the same period. Such growth had never before been seen. The population boom of the 1700s was due more to declining death rates than to rising birthrates. The agricultural revolution reduced the risk of famine. Because they ate better, women were healthier and had stronger babies. In the 1800s, better hygiene and sanitation, along with improved medical care, further slowed deaths from disease. ~*~Michelle~*~

i'm not sure but between 1700 and 1800, there was an agricultural revolution, where people were able to get more goods in (because crops were doing better). when people saw this, they moved over to europe because they saw how much food the europeans had.

In the 1800s, Europe underwent the both the Agricultural and the Industrial Revolutions. The Agricultural Revolution brought upon more sufficient farming and production of food, leading to a healthier population. This kept people alive longer, meaning a growth in population. The Industrial Revolution brought upon employment and wealth, leading to a population that could afford more. To get more money, families also produced more kids. The Industrial Revolution also led to a longer life expectancy and an enhancement of urban living. Typically, revolutions and prosperity bring about a surge in birthrates and Immigration as well.
