Around 6 Milion Jews were killed by gas, burning, and being shot dead. Adolf Hitler commited suicide on April 30th, 1945. He commited suicide because of the on-coming Soviets. The Soviet Union reached Berlin (where Hitler commited suicide, specifically in his underground bunker) the next day, April 31st 1945.
