I like the movie Les Miserables because it is a beautiful yet realistic adaptation of my favorite book of all time and my favorite musical of all time. It is truly a work of art. It delivers so many amazing messages that are needed in society today.
I enjoy Les Misérables because of its gripping story of redemption, powerful musical score, and emotional performances. The themes of love, sacrifice, and revolution are moving and relatable, making it a timeless and impactful cinematic experience.
Hi!
In French, "Les Miserables" means "The Miserable Ones" or "The Wretched Ones."
Les Mis is about the French Revolution, which was an impoverished, oppressed, and, well, miserable people's plea for equality. Some of the more well-known songs in the musical, such as "Look Down," "Red and Black," and "Do You Hear the People Sing?" reflect the title.
The fact that the people are "The Miserable Ones" is what brings forth the revolution.
Hope this helps!
Les Miserables is considered one of the great stories of its century -- the 1800s, and therefore is ripe for translation into other mediums, such as stage, theatre and movies.
The musical was based on the book of the same name by Victor Hugo. Hugo wrote his book about redemption and forgiveness.
Oh my gosh. Every reason possible. Les Miserables is one of the best musicals in the world.
It's got a great plot, meaning, and cast. There is so much more Behind the Scenes, too, that makes it great.
