∙ 9y agoThe Middle colonies were settled by Dutch Mennonites, French Huguenots, German Baptists, Portuguese Jews, Duth Reformed, Lutherans, and Quakers, who mainly settled there for religious freedom. Africans, many of whom had originally came to the colonies as slaves and Native Americans, the original settlers completed what could be described as the Thirteen Colonies' most culturally diverse area.
