Well first of all,im Russian and i came to US because i love this country, my favourite
Rock bands from Seattle..Alice in Chains,Pearl Jam,Nirvana,Soundgarden,Mother love Bone and other grunge bands..Alot of Russians and Ukrainians immigrated to america for better life a think, but most of them babtists so the church helped them to came here, because in Russia people dont like that religion cuz we are Orthodox so probably thats why.But I hate this people i mean those russians-ukrainians who live in US so mad and weird. They dont like tattoos, piercings, dont like american music, they are just listening to their own gay songs, but like i sayed im russian too.If you go to Russia you will find metalheads, emos, punks, goth i mean everybody because Russia now is like US.So yeah like i sayed i came here because i love this country more then Russia.Another thing is why they came here its just because they think its better in here too,in america you have freedom of religion but in Russia but people will laugh at you cuz you are babtist and.......you know.So yeah ill say that we came here for better life and lots of reasons its just depends on who. Thanks for asking.
maybe perhaps they had been born in russia to diplomat parents who were working over there at their birth? or, they have parents who are native born russian-and since russia is now a 'democracy'(i use this word loosely), they allow a dual-citizenship? since perestroika, the russian borders are now apparently open. thus allowing for u.s. citizens to emigrate to the Soviet Union?
We don't know why people moved from Siberia across the Bering land bridge to America. They might have been following animals for food.
Because America is still the country where people can come to. Good for America. Probably.
