Because the U.S. were isolationists until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.They vowed that they were going to be nutreal,but when Japan destroyed Pearl Harbor the U.S declared war on Japan the next day.Then Germany declared war on the U.S. so they got involved into WWII.
