Dr. John S. Pemberton invented Coca- Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, 1886. Frank Robinson, his bookkeeper, came up with the name "Coca Cola" and created the now famous logo in his own handwriting.

It was called coco cola first because it was invented in Columbus, Georgia, not Atlanta. In the south people do not say pop. That (pop) was adapted after it was named.

because it was first made with cocoa beans which was the main ingredient and cola was the type of sode so it was named Coca-Cola

in the old days, it used to be a drug with cocaine in it. But it tasted good and they changed it to soda. But when it was a drug cocaine became "coke" for short.
