It wasn't just a fight about race but a fight about what was right. It wasn't just white vs. black but a fight against a set of standards that were not fair. Many whites didn't like the system either.
Frederick Douglass was well educated and literate. He impressed many whites with his abilities. He worked hard for black civil rights. He also helped Lincoln recruit blacks to join the Civil War.
no
because they did
Some people turn against African Americans or Africans because they are stereotypically known to cause crimes and join gangs. While a high amount of blacks are in gangs or have committed crimes, allot of whites and Mexican's have too. So people point fingers at blacks to blame the things wrong with themselves at the people who do it more.
yes
His speech changed the world because, his speech let blacks and whites join together and go to the same schools, drink from the same water fountain, play together and many more things...

Anyone that believes in civil rights for everyone, can join the NAACP. There is a membership fee to join the NAACP. Yes, White people can join the NAACP. There are People of all ethnic groups that are members of the NAACP. There is no subdivision for Whites. There is a group that is called Women In NAACP (WIN) that helps with humanitarian efforts around the world. I hope that this clarifies the answer to your question.
Approximately one black to 8 whites served, similar to the proportion in the population at large. This was also the proportion of casualties during that war. There are myths that there were heavier casualties among blacks in Vietnam. Absolutely untrue. Whites died in much higher numbers, proportionate and absolute, during WW2, because blacks were seldom allowed in combat roles. For example, the US Marine Corp did not accept blacks until long after the war was over. Most blacks in WW2 served in support groups like transportion. These support troops suffered casualties, but not as large as front-line units. There were a few black front line units, most famously black fighter plane units, armored units, and some ground combat units, as depicted in the recent Spike Lee movie. Such units were, however, very small in number. All of the armed services in WW2 were segrated, the Marines the most so, not allowing blacks to join at all. The Navy in 99% of cases had blacks serve as cooks and waiters, or as longshoreman unloading ships. The Army (which included the Air Forces back then) were slightly more liberal, but not much. The result was that far more whites than blacks died in combat during WW2. By the Vietnam era, the armed services were completely integrated, so casualties were evenly distributed among the races.
Frederick Douglas was 100 % in favor of having Blacks serve in the Union army. In Massachusetts, Douglas was active in recruiting freed Blacks to join the 54th regiment of Massachusetts. Actually it was in New York, that he recruited 100 Blacks to join the Massachusetts regiment. This included two of his sons.
Kenya NEVER was commonwealthy because blacks are there and black people are poor.
Yes, George Washington initially barred African Americans from enlisting in the Continental Army. However, as the war progressed, the British began to recruit and offer freedom to enslaved people who joined their forces. In response, Washington eventually allowed free blacks to join the Continental Army, but their numbers remained limited.
