For many reasons, English has become the common language of Europe and the world. By process of elimination, people realize so many other languages simply aren't used globally as English. In short, the English language has become the closest thing to a world-wide language we've ever had because people and cultures worldwide have chosen to speak English.

Knowledge of and fluency in the English language could have a great impact on many aspects of our lives world-wide. Some of those aspects include employment, educational aspirations, acceptance in your college or higher education choices, the ability to understand people internationally because they, too, have often chosen English as their second language. The advantages of speaking English grow greater with time.

They speak English because the settlers who came to the continent were English.(from England) As they continued to live here they bred and soon their population increased, more than the Aborigines who inhabited the country for a long time. Eventually, the country became full of the English, which they regard as their country's national language. Australia was established as a British colony and so naturally the mother tongue was spoken.

Lately, Lebanon has become a very western country. Even Though lebanon is located in the Middle East most of its universities main language is English or French. Arabic (Mostly the Lebanese Arabic Dialect) is a mixture of Arabic,English and French is like: Hi Keefack Cava? that is our motto. Moreover, Lebanese most important schools use an international Educational System Mostly the French System and the American System. Therefore every single lebanese know at least the basis of English and French while others know them both fluently.

Besides, There are more Lebanese live abroad than the lebanese that actually live in Lebanon and when they come back to their land, Obviously they bring their language with them and that is why you find people speaking Spanish,Italian, Some African Languages, German and languges from all over the world and this Cultural Hybridity that defines Lebanon.
