ants bite with their little red nippers. small ants won't hurt as much as bigger ones, but it will give u a little shock. big ants hurt a lot and sometimes the bitten place gets red and swollen. some are allergic to ants, and need to go to the hospital if they get bitten by a big one. if u get bitten by an ant and it becomes red, swollen, or itchy. here are some tips.

  • ask an adult if you are allergic to ants
  • if you are, contact a doctor
  • if not, put an ice pack on it. (if you don't have an ice pack, an ice cube will do or a fruit)
  • don't scatch it too hard. if you cant resist, pinch the area around it or hit it hard

they do that because they want to either protect themselves or the other ants especially the queen and some do that to attack because they are bringing food to the colony but you are giving some problems so yeah it will attack you oh or worse you are like that kid in ''ant bully'' well but instead of shrinking you they will bite or sting but don't worry some ants sting like the bullet ant or fire ant or jumping ant if provoked but some will bite, not sting but they will bite you like the bull ant because that thing has a bad attitude but some will crawl on you but they won't harm you

Ants bite people because, simply put, we're a threat to the colony. They bite to deter us from getting any closer to their queen and eggs/larvae.

Ants have powerful jaws called Chericera that grip onto your skin During the time of biting, poisonous ants fill formic acid into your body- which is why you feel pain and swell.

There is an acid that is injected into one's system that hits the nerves and causes the pain. Most are not fatal, and they are simply an ant's way of defending itself.

Ants bite as a way to defend themselves. If they feel that they are being attacked, or provoked, they will bite. This is true for all ants, including fireants.

Fire ants bite hard because it is their natural defense to predators. If they did not bite hard they would be killed quickly.
