People continue to believe in Christianity for the same reason anyone believes anything:
1) It gives them a sense of security: They know what's going to happen tomorrow (ie the rapture/tribulation/armageddon) and that God will protect them from it.
2) It gives them a sense of authority: They are not going to hell and you are, they are chosen by God and you are not. Therefore they have the right to tell you how to live.
3) They don't know any better: They are raised Christian and so assume that it must be right. Even when presented with evidence to the contrary, they take comfort in the fact that where Christianity and reality part ways, reality must be wrong.
4) Its tradition: They practice, their parents practice, their grandparents practice... and on and on down the line. They don't like to think that they (or any of their family) might have been wrong or foolish.
Israel's Mandate:
5) Don't forget that there is a rebellion and that conflict is still ongoing. Part of that conflict's means of destabilizing the other side is to employ disinformation techniques. Satan has been vey active in presenting falsehood as truth. This is the main reason for ''christianity'' becoming unBiblical 100 - 300 years after the death of the Disciples.
6) Any disinformation that presents the God of Israel as incompetent or a liar has been used with very effective results. In ''christianity'', we have a gentile pagan god instead of the God of Israel.
