Horses can be spooked by anything at all: Traffic, rubbish on the floor, leaves, other horses, people walking behind them, running up to them, using the whip, lunging, any gaits of riding, trees, roads, anything a tall, but even some bombproof horses are scared of fireworks and most other things.

∙ 14y agoIt really depends on the horse. But a lighter friskier horse is likely to run, put their ears back, go backwards, rear, buck and the list goes on. Other horses turn around, jump amonst other things.
