I Believe girls have it too. it's just more prominant on males, I believe it is their sent glands
Male geckos have a have an upside-down "V" shape (which is actually a vent) in the general area, and a bulge right before the start of their tail. You can't tell the sex of your gecko until they are six months old. Juvenile geckos all look alike.
There is a "V" shape in both males and females. Above the V (which is called the vent) are very small scaled outlining the breeding organs. In males, these scales are marked out with a black circle in the middle, these are called pores. Only male geckos have pores. Most hobbyists purchase a jewelers loup to determine the sex of young geckos.
yes they do because once ripped of there wings the ^ shape is left
leopard geckos will have a swelling where the tail starts on the stomach side and dots by the pelvic area shaped like a V if its a male. not sure about panther geckos though

Well I know the answer for leopard geckos, but I am not sure for House Geckos. Anyhow, they are probably the same. You can tell a gecko if it is a male or a female by looking in the middle of their hind legs. A boy will have a black v-ish sort of thing, whereas girls will have no marking at all. Just skin.
