This is because different people were brought up in different places, meaning that they we exposed to and convinced of a certain religion. For example, people in the majority of people in Europe are christian because Christianity was the state religion of Rome which was created in the Roman Empire and which spread throughout Europe due to many other political, social, and geological reasons. And the majority of people in Japan are Buddhist because that's where the religion was first developed.

∙ 13y agoOften, people will change religion because they have given religious questions some serious thought, and have come to some conclusions not in agreement with their current practice. Sometimes people will change religion because they find themselves in a predicament (questions of divorce/re-marriage, as one example) which is handled by their religion in a way that is not workable for them.
Because they don't like the faith/religion their parents but them in. It's also sometimes because of lost spirituality.
Many folks don't see the reason of paying homage to the Religion the are in.

∙ 11y agoBecause they find something special in the other religion or they are not satisfied with their current religion. Islam is the religion of peace and harmony, understanding and following it is the purpose of Muslims. Muslims do not change their religion. However, people convert to Islam.

∙ 9y agothey follow religion through beleive and to have somebody there to guide them through the right paths they want to have rust in somebody and they beleive in gods and godesses sometimes to be this person who they have faith in them and they want them to take care in them. they beleive they created the world. i am a catholic and i follow my faith through family and The Bible is my guide for life i follow life as any other catholic would do, but different beleifes have different rules and thats why nobodys lfe is the same.
