There is a number of ways gossip can affect other people. gossip spreads like wild fire, and is usually so misconstrued in the translation that its something that doesn't even make sense. Ive been in a situation where gossip ran wild, and have lost my position at work because of it. I did Nothing wrong, and was punished because of what someone said to someone else, and how they told someone else, and however they heard the story is spread onward, so on and so forth. Gossip can range from being a funny story, to being a detriment to someones life. Think before you speak.
