Well I think they do because they just want to be cool and fancy everything up. Whoever made that up might've been tired of sayig hi and wanted a new word to say.
- ! :) O_o
its better than say heyyy right?
because of the new modern era people think it's "cooler" to say yo and not hi
the word in spanish for hello hi and hey is ola
*you say "bonjour" (pronounced bon-jer) which means "good day" to adults and teachers. *you say "salut" (pronounced sa-lue) which means "hi" or "hey" to your friends or family members.
Hola' its like saying hi but you saying hello its not a difference u still say hola' !. :)
Hey, listen = Oy, chotto kiitekureyo. Hey, you! = Oy, omae! More informally, "Ohayo" may be used like "hi" among friends "Moshi moshi" is how you might answer the phone , like our "hello"
"Salut bébé" (hello baby) or "salut poupée" (hi, doll)
Hey is not really slang. It is just a spelling of the word "Hi," which is a short form of "hello." In some parts of the world, people say "hey" instead of "hi." In other areas, you will hear " 'lo" or even "hullo."
he says hey
They use "hey" cause it is like a teen way of saying hi or hello!
usually by saying 'hey' or 'hi'
喂,嗨 (hey hey) this is Chinese for hi
Hola is spanish. Hi is english.
it a way of speech so its like some people say hey or hi instead of hello and others might say garbage instead of rubbish bin and stuff like that. wazup is a short word for whats up or hows life or maybe hello even. it can be considered lazy speech as well.
New Zealanders still say hello! Probably too lazy to use the English language properly.
Researchers have proven that saying hi is UN cool. You say hey. That is cool. Hi is like hi i don't care, i am grumpy, don't talk to me but hey is like I'm happy lets party I'm cool. Summing it all up hey is cool and hello is not cool. Say hey if you are cool and say hi if you are not.
Hi, Hey, Hey what's up
people usually say "hi guys", it is because in the English language, people refer to guys as a group of people regardless of gender; in french, ils ont (they[masculine]) means a group of guys meaning boys/men. elles ont(they[feminine]) means a group of girls/women only difference is (other than gender) is elles ont is only made up of girls/women but if 1 male went into a group of males then it would become ils ont.I guess that is also why they say "hey guys" instead of "hey girls"
hello to answer a phone, "hey" otherwise
