  2. They deny they have it.
  3. They enjoy parts of it (e.g. manic phases).
  4. They are afraid people will label them.
  5. They are afraid that insurance won't pay or will drop them.
  6. They still think standard treatment is Freudian.
  7. They don't want a bunch of expensive pills.
  8. Some parts of the treatment are NOT fun in some cases.

That enough reasons? I would not have gotten treatment and diagnosis if police had not picked me up taken me to ER and put me on 72 hour involuntary hold (CA 5150).

The strait jacket and 4 point restraint were not fun at all!
