1) Kids usually are scared of things they are unsure of, or things that are out of the ordinary. One example is Barney. They see him all day on TV but when they meet him in real life they scream their heads off... why mostly because he no longer really looks like the little dino from the TV, he is now more real and for some reason HUGE.
I have two clown characters, one is a white faced clown and the other is a rodeo clown, the small kids are scared of the whitefaced clown because it is not what they consider normal, but as for the rodeo clown I use who looks very much like a hobo I get no screamers at all. So small kids are not scared of clowns, they are scared of unfamiliar faces or faces they cannot relate to.
As for teens, it is the scary movies and peer perception that makes then scared of clowns.
2) I Don't know. I just know I am freaked out by THEM!!
3) Maybe because they saw scary clown movies.
4) This may be so and most unfortunate for that. I do strongly disapprove of film or television producers/writers who portray clowning in any way suspect. My other comments will say the same thing. Clowning is simple fun for children under the age of eight years. One organization has a course of training entitled 'How to be stupid'. Clowning is not stupid. It is child-like. One would not call a child stupid?
like if you are going to bed and started to get scared because you maybe watched to much Horror movies and you are scared of going to the bathroom but don't worry you parents are in the house with you or you are scared of some insects because you think they will hurt you but you have to know that you are bigger then them or you are going camping with somebody and you are getting scared because you think there might be some wolfs and you might heard about a fake killer named Jason but Jason ain't real and there might be some woods that wolfs don't live in.
to scare scary kids who listen to their music.
Some kids are afraid of the dark because it's a scary experience. One cannot see anything all they can do is hear. When one hears scary or startling noises, fright is the first reaction.
Because when I watch scary stuff at night I feel it’s gonna come
Lladro clowns usually comes in a lying down position where the clown's head is propped upon their hands. Some clowns are also standing or leaning on something.
There are warnings that some viewings may be scary for VERY young children but it's not really that scary. So I'd say about 7+
goosebumps is pg Y7 becsuse some things might be to scary for children under 7
it depends on what you consider scary some parts startle you or shock you it is very suspenseful some parts are scary but not that much
The Lionhearts - 1998 But Some of My Best Friends Are Clowns 1-3 was released on: USA: 3 October 1998
They should not be scary! Or are you suggesting that Stan Laurell was scary? Clowning should be for children up to the age of eight years and have friendly silly make up and clothing - with great artistic abilities.
to some people yes they are portrayed as a scary creature. Clowns are also used to scare young children in horror stories. I remember as a kid my mom used to tell me a clown would get me if i didn't go to bed. But, yes mostly clowns are scary but some are the silly things we used to see at fairs when we were younger
clowns creaky stairs and doors
look in the window with a clown mask on....
No shadow puppets is not scary. It might be to some children but overall its not scary

I did not find it scary, but some people I know did. It is a matter of opinion.
Coulrophobia is a very common disorder these days.It is where the person is feared by clowns and mimes. Most agree, however, that the main reason for coulrophobia are the make-up and exaggerated features of the clown.Painted eyes and painted smiles,as well as the dreaded big red nose, can be frightening initially to children. In fact some children share a similar fear of Santa Claus as well.
NO!!!!! It is funny though, and if there are young children, be warned, as it is based upon some horrors. - if you didn't like scream, there are some very similar bits in scary movie.
Depends. You can make it good and scary or some wimps might find it scary. Half the time it can be funny! It really depends on how scary you make it!
In my opinion I find the rubber ones best as it's safe and also scary. Some may argue plastic ones are best but I find they are uncomfortable.
