Igloos were only used by Inuit in the Eastern Arctic, and they find the word "Eskimo" quite offensive. It is a name invented by their traditional enemies from the south. Modern Inuit live in houses, just like you do.
Although some first nations in Alaska accept the use of the word "Eskimo", they for the most part belong to nations that are separate and distinct from the arctic Inuit that would be associated with Igloos, cariboo hunting, and dogsleds made of bone.
Please watch the film "Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner" for an accurate portrayal of pre-contact northern life.
People (Eskimos) live in igloos in Canada (Central Arctic and Greenland's Thule area).
Because its the only thing they can use to build their house.
They melt.

Eskimos live in the Arctic (North Pole region) and the penguins live in the Antarctic (South Pole region), they are in opposite sides of the Earth.Eskimos live in or near the Arctic circle in the northern hemisphere. Penguins are found on Antarctica and surrounding islands in the southern hemisphere. They are very far apart. This, of course, does not prove Eskimos will not eat penguin, as they could import penguin meat (if it is legal) or travel to Antarctica to eat penguin.
they used snow to make igloos and other things to make their home
The Inuit live in Alaska and Canada near the north pole.
Definitely not in the arctic, but it is not impossible that there is some in the antarctic region. Actually there still is a lot of gold mining going on in Alaska, but that isn't really into the real polar region since most of Alaska is south of the Arctic Circle.
The state of Alaska has borders on the Artic Ocean.
google and wiki and wikipediaâ– "Eskimos or Esquimaux are indigenous peoples who have traditionally inhabited the circumpolar region from eastern Siberia (Russia), across Alaska (United States) and Canada, and all of Greenland (Denmark)." (From Wikipedia)
