What would you like to do?
Well, for starters, WikiAnswers Supervisors are the most trusted and experienced contributors on WikiAnswers. They are honest and mature, and they know whether a question is appropriate or not. If you feel that a Supervisor is not doing his or her job correctly, or if they are abusing their Supervisor powers, contact another Supervisor and they'll take care of it for you.

Some of WikiAnswers' most active and trusted contributors become Supervisors. These individuals are given additional Super Powers to perform an array of higher-level edits. Su…pervisors are able to merge questions together, block vandals, and spin off discussion posts into questions, and are equipped with a variety of other special abilities and functions to use at their discretion. Becoming a Supervisor does not require a minimum amount of work, but does require that the tools be used responsibly. We currently have two types of Supervisors: Category Supervisors and Floating Supervisors. Category Supervisors oversee one or more categories of interest. Often, those employed (or hobbyists) in a certain field will choose to become a Category-specific Supervisor. This gives them the advantage of really recognizing answers that need work, as they are familiar with the lingo and concepts . A Floating Supervisor, on the other hand, has all of the same tools as a Category Supervisor, without the responsibilities of overseeing a certain area of the site. This is a more open-ended way to get started. It's ideal for those without a lot of time, but who still want to contribute with more high-powered tools when they visit the site.
no, just for pleasure.
Tell one of your supervisors who it was and say that they gave you an inappropriate response. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/WikiFAQs:The_WikiAnswers_Super_Team You can also cli…ck on the 'Report abuse' link (in red) above the question
A Supervisor does many things on WikiAnswers. A Supervisor will hunt for vandalism, and warn those who need to be warned. If necessary, a Supervisor will block someone, either… temporarily or permanently, for doing anything against WikiAnswers' rules. That is the main part of a Supervisor job, but they also help other contributors, other supervisors, and make sure no disputes arise to where they have to be taken to a higher level. There are floating supervisor who do not supervise a specific category. They just float around the site cleaning up questions, blocking vandals, merging questions, asking questions, answering questions, participating in the Supervisors Forum etc. A category supervisor basically does the same thing but they try to focus all of their work in the categories that have been appointed to supervise. Supervisors have additional Super Powers (eg. protect a question, trash a question which does not to the value of WA, feature a question etc.) and also have access to the "backstage" of WikiAnswers - the stylebook, their own personal email, and the supervisors' forum. They look over categories of interest or "hover" over each randomly, and are able to feature, protect, merge, trash, update etc. questions they find. They can also warn, block etc. other users who are doing inappropriate spam and damage to WikiAnswers. Please see the related question "How do you become a Supervisor on WikiAnswers?". Supervisors can # Monitor activities in the site # Revert/Remove wrong answers # Warn users posting answers that do not comply with the website rules # Block users who keep posting nonsense after repeated warnings # etc...
Up at the top of the screen underneath the search box, there is a button that says "report abuse." If you click on that it will report the answer.
Inapropriate answers are given by users who just want to mess up the site and ruin WikiAnswer's reputation. That is why Vandal Patrol and Supervisors are always on the look ou…t to eliminate these vandals, or "perpetrators". It's just because users think it is fun to write down inappropriate content, and Supervisors and Vandal Patrol Units are always on the look out. Since WikiAnswers is a wiki, where anyone can have imput, people think it is funny to mess up answers, when it is not.

How do you decide if you should become a Category Supervisor or a Floating Supervisor on WikiAnswers?
Well, it is mainly up to you, Don't forget, a Category Supervisor looks after certain categories, whereas a floating Supervisor maintains every category, just 'Floating'. Henc…e the name. So it depends whether you prefer just one category or not.
Please keep in mind that WikiAnswers is a wiki Q&A, and as such, anyone can edit answers, questions, alternates, and whatnot (Guests can only answer questions/edit answers to …questions.). There are several reasons why people would write inappropriate answers, most of them being vandalism. However, Supers and non-Supers alike are working hard to warn and rid of vandals, as well to clean up the site.
To report inappropriate usernames, you have two alternate choices. One way is to click on the link below to go to the Community Forum in the 'Report Vandalism and Abuse' sec…tion. Create a new topic and that is where you can report inappropriate usernames on WikiAnswers. The other method is to just post a message on a Community Assistant's message board with the link to an inappropriately named user.
Because there are just random people giving random, but maybe accurate answers out there. Like me.
A Floating Supervisor on WikiAnswers is a Supervisor of the site that does not oversee a particular category, hence the name "floating". For more information, please see the "…Related Links" section of this answer. A floating supervisor is someone who has the ability to merge questions, block vandals and other high level editing ability without the responsibility of overseeing a set area of the site - that is, essentially, floating.
Only questions that are potentially harmful (e.g. contain a full name of a non-celebrity, telephone number etc.) or are very unlikely to be asked again (such a repeatedly usin…g SPAM words in the question title) are deleted. Questions that are inappropriate for the site but may be asked again are placed into a Catch-All Category. For more information on the Catch-All Categories, please see the Related Question below "What are the Catch-all categories on WikiAnswers?"
A Supervisor can be a Supervisor for however long he or she wants until the Supervisor deletes his/her account, is blocked or demoted for violating rules, or wants to quit bei…ng a Supervisor. If a supervisor remains inactive for a certain amount of time, he/she may have their supervisor powers taken away until he/she contributes again.
There are many volunteer supervisors on WikiAnswers who help out and keep the site running. There are also paid supervisors on the site called Community Assistants who work fo…r the company. A list of all of the volunteer supervisors and CAs can be found in the related link section below.
