Why do they have some many people under the pen name of Erin Hunter?

Most libraries and bookstores shelve books by the author's name. If the Warriors bookes were to be written using the authors' real names, they would be scattered all over the library/store and it would be confusing. The Erins decided it would be so much simpler for everyone if they were to just use one pen name for all four of them.
